There are several browsers compatible with DNS over HTTPS (DoH). This protocol lets you encrypt your connection to Cloudflare DNS and could cause a DNS leak if not sent to our DNS servers.

To prevent this you will need to disable DoH in your browser while connected to PrivadoVPN servers. Below are instructions on how to disable DoH in the most popular web browsers:

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. In the General menu, scroll down to access Network Settings.
  4. Click on the Settings button.
  5. Click Disable DNS over HTTPS. By default, it resolves to Cloudflare DNS.

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the three-dot menu in your browser window.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Privacy and security > Security.
  4. Scroll down and disable the Use secure DNS switch.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to edge://settings/privacy.
  2. Scroll down to the Security section.
  3. Make sure the Use secure DNS option is disabled.

Brave

  1. Click the menu button in your browser window.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. On the left side of the menu, scroll down and click Additional settings.
  4. Navigate to Privacy and security > Security.
  5. Disable Use secure DNS.
